Janiekins Posted April 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2007 I just reserved Junior Suite #1100 on Deck 10 (fantail/aft) of the Seranade. It is right below the Windjammer Cafe but the cruise specialist assured me that I will not hear any noise from above. Has anyone stayed in the room? What do you think? Does anyone have pictures? Thanks.
critterchick Posted April 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2007 1100 is my favorite Radiance class cabin! Click on the link in my signature and look at the Radiance album - 1100 on Serenade is identical down to the colors in the room (although with the new bedding installed you will have something different on the bed). You will hear people talking from the Windjammer, and if you are standing at the railing they will be able to see you from the waist up, so dress accordingly.;) Since the WJ closes at 9:00 or so, however, you shouldn't be too bothered by it. i-m-ed Posted April 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2007 1100 was the best room I ever had. I have a couple of pictures of the balcony in my photo album. Unfortunately the pictures don't do the balcony justice. pictures One downside is that people in the windjammer can see you if you are on the outer part of the balcony. I learned that one morning when I was standing at the rail in my undies when someone from above said "good morning!!" I'd be amazed if they had the stomach to eat breakfast after that sight. Janiekins Posted April 13, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted April 13, 2007 I was just looking at the deck plan for Junior Suite Cabin 1100 - 10th Floor on the Serenade. Does the balcony really wrap completely around this room? If so, the balcony is huge!!! Can't wait!!!
Lightsluvr Posted April 13, 2007 #8 Share Posted April 13, 2007 I want to say thanks to all those folks who posted links to photos of JS 1100. Armed with this information, our TA pounced on this JS for our 2008 Alaskan Cruise Tour on the Radiance of the Seas which opened yesterday. By the way JS 1100 was still available as of yesterday afternoon for the June 22 cruise tour. That would be the June 29 (approximate date) sailing. critterchick Posted April 13, 2007 #9 Share Posted April 13, 2007 I was just looking at the deck plan for Junior Suite Cabin 1100 - 10th Floor on the Serenade. Does the balcony really wrap completely around this room? If so, the balcony is huge!!! Can't wait!!! It doesn't completely wrap around the way the corner balconies on Vision do, it tapers to a point. But you can still get around to the side for a fabulous view, and it is HUGE - you will love it! Radiomark Posted April 13, 2007 #10 Share Posted April 13, 2007 We were in Serenade #1100 for our Southern Caribbean itinerary last year. The cabin is awesome. Please let me know if my dirty socks are still under the bed. Mark
