Chorts Posted April 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2007 We want to add our granddaughter to our cruise. Since she is small and could easily fit on the couch, even though the room is not designated as a triple, would Carnival allow us to put her in our room. Sealicker Posted April 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2007 The room has to be a triple, something about the coast guard regulations etc....
Rare finoky Posted April 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2007 That is correct. Carnival will not allow it.
caribbean dreams Posted April 24, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2007 You would have to call and switch to a triple and pay the difference.
IamAlyce Posted April 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2007 I would call, your room could be a triple if it has a couch that turns into a bed. Last time we cruised Carnival as 3 in the room, the couch would be turned into a bed at night.
Brvhart123 Posted April 24, 2007 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2007 If you know your cabin number, you should be able to go to the Carnival website. And look at the deck plans. If you look at the key it will tell you what cabin can handle 3 people.
Chorts Posted April 24, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted April 24, 2007 The Carnival website deckplans do not show the key as being a triple. A triple has a * and ours does not. Since there is a couch, I will give it a shot and ask Carnival if it is possible. The most they can do is say no. Thanks for everyone's responses. PINEVIEW01 Posted April 24, 2007 #8 Share Posted April 24, 2007 They will move you to a cabin for three unless you are on a ship and in a cabin that handles a roll away. If the couch isn't a convertable they won't alow it. The Carnival site does have a key to what a cabin holds when you pick the ship and go to deck plans. Chorts Posted April 24, 2007 Author #9 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Just thought I'd let you know that I did the simple solution......called and changed the room. Now we're all set to take our kids and grandkids. This is Merry Birthday and Happy Christmas for the next year! We've already given them the cruise....didn't want to wait till Christmas. This way it gives them plenty of time to save up spending money and their gratuities. I don't know who's more excited, us or the kids :D .
