Olivia'sMom Posted May 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2007 Hi y'all - I've been reading all the posts about the inaugural cruise last week and have really appreciated the information. We are booked on the September 8 sailing and hope that all the kinks will be worked out by then. The only question that I didn't see addressed in the reviews so far is about the casino -- is it very small? Are there enough slot machines and are any of them nickel and dime slots? Since there isn't much in the way of shopping on board I have to have something to do to spend money, :D . Also, it sounds like there isn't any difference in cabin size between the 2A veranda and the sky suite, is that correct?? We've been considering upgrading to a suite but just a larger balcony wouldn't be worth it.

I cannot answer any of the casino questions, but I would like to add another question to the list. How many table games do they have, and what was the minimum bet for the table games. As for your question about Balcony vs. Sky Suite, the Sky Suites are definitely larger than the 1A or 2A balconies. The Sky Suites are roughly 50% larger than the Balconies. I hope that helps. Thanks so much Andy, that does help. Maybe we'll consider upgrading now... we do like to have room to move around in. Do you know if the bathrooms are the same size? Some ships we've been on have tubs in the suites, I wonder if Journey does... I am new to posting here but not to Cruise Critic - have been "lurking" for years reading all the reviews but just decided to finally participate and get in the dialogue about the new ship. This will be our 11th cruise and we're looking forward to it; first time with Celebrity, Azamara, etc. Enjoying all the info that's coming forward from the pioneer cruisers! PS -- how do you make a signature line on here??? I'm not the most 'puter literate person, lol.
JPH814 Posted May 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2007 Welcome Olivia'sMom To create a signature, go to the banner at the top of the page and click on UserCP (at the bottom of the banner). Once you do that, you willbe taken to a window with a number of settings on the left hand side, include one to edit your signature. This is also the place to go to see postings to threads you are "subscribed" to. You subscribe to a thread by creating a thread or posting a reply to one. You can also specifically subscribe to a thread by clicking on "thread tools" at the top of a thread. This is an easy way to track conversations you are interested in. Look for a thread called "Post Journey Answers Here". We have had some discussion of the casino so far and hopefully more when more people return from future cruises.
