Who's Interested in Cruising on Mariner when it Repos to LA

Recommended Posts
I just keep checking cruises for the Mariner. Has to show up there sometime.
OK Paul...........since you instigated the "alphabetical" list (how am I doing BTW)........you are not the official "checker upper" and official notifier when said itineraries are released.:)

Oh yeah...........and make sure that what you find out is CHEAP.........oh my, where are my manners............I mean AFFORDABLE RATES!!!!!!!!!;)
The last scheduled cruise for the Mariner out of Port Canaveral is the Dec. 28, 2008 cruise-- so that would put the repo cruise departing on Jan 4, 2009. It's a 35 night repo (which will be broken into segments for easier sale). Nothing on the repo bookings/itins is out yet and most likely won't be out for a few months yet.

The first scheduled sailing from LA is Feb 22, 2009--- I would expect they would do a few TA pre-inaugural sailings before this cruise so the ship should be on the west coast mid-Feb.
Thanks for all the info..........which I am sure is factual. We figured that it would be broken into segments. Have you any idea how many segments they are talking about? Maybe just a hint!!;)

Since it looks like this thread might be around for a few months until we all learn of how many segments there will be, the cost, and itineraries........... how about we try to figure out what those segments will be (let's not worry about $$$ right now). Anybody what to take a stab at it??

Easier sale........or more money.......or both:D Let's see........3 segments, jr. suite at say $4299pp so that is $8598 per cabin times 3 segments equals $25,794............Gee I hope I'm wrong:D and hope they price it (all segments) like a repo.........:D

I think you are just a wee bit high on the JS price on Mariner. Remember, the Voyager class ships tend to be a little less for a JS. I'll bet it might be more around $2500pp.............but I could be way out in left field. BUT, let's hope that being out in left field is a good thing!!

OK so it's only $15,000 for 3 legs:D .........but I hope you are right.......that might be more manageable.

Yeah, I saw you guys in the casino, but Rena has far more discipline than I do. Got a kick out of her and her friend.............when they had spent their amount, they left! You should be proud.

Patti - Great job on the list.
There's no doubt whoever sees the repos first will post here immediately.

Starting to buy more lottery tickets.

One way to look at it: Ft Lauderdale to someplace in Brazil. Airfare back would probably be enough to pay for the next leg from there to somewhere on the west coast of SA. Not having to fly home from there or fly to there for the third leg would pay for that leg.
So, taking all three legs might even save money.

Can you all tell I'm one of those optimist

BTW - Any balcony would be OK.

Paul has a great point there. Airfare down to SA and back is NOT cheap.........believe me, I know after looking at airfares for next year. So you would only have to fly to Florida and back home from LA.
Please put me on the "LIST"! Cannot wait till they price this one out!
Thank you.
