Hi,

I have read several different threads on embarkation with lots of different comments but to those of you who may have sailed out of NY recently or in June time previous years.....

What's the best time to arrive at the pier for embarkation in NY?

We will be getting a cab from our hotel (hotel metro) to the pier.

Thnx, happy cruising.:)

We sailed out of NYC on NCL Dawn 2 years ago. We took the train from Baltimore, MD and arrived at Penn Station about 12:30. We were on the ship within an hour. But, we had a penthouse suite and were supposed to have priority embarkation. By the time we arrived, they had already called the suite passengers so we missed it. This time (6/16), we plan to arrive at the pier by 10:00 a.m. at the latest so we can take advantage of that particular "perk."

Happy Sailing!!! 7 more days for you!!!

We generally arrive at the NY pier around 11:00-11:30. Too much earlier and you'll run into the folks who just disembarked. Last year we disembarked Carnival Legend around 10:30 in the morning (we were the last group called, but we weren't in any hurry), and there were already people waiting (im)patiently to start boarding.
