PAULNJILL Posted August 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2004 Can anyone advise how any formal nights we can expect on a 12 night New England cruise please ?
JPEvans Posted August 17, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2004 I would think at least three. I was on the Tandem Crossing and we had 23 on a 6-day. Crossings seem to be more formal than a regular cruise. One of the nights was optional formal or informal. A majority of the men were in black tie. J.P. Wow, JP, 23, was it that many? no wonder I had to go running back and forth to the laundry at least a dozen times in a week. Talk about wear and tear on the old tux shirts. "Keeping up appearances" I'd say. Just kidding - Bob.
Vic The Parrot Posted August 18, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2004 Hey bob It's a good show (Keeping Up Appearances) "BOO-KAY residence, lady of the house speaking!" :-D
highcbob Posted August 19, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2004 Ah yes Vic, very funny show ( love the Brit humour ). Nothing like being on QE2 and getting busted wearing full formal regalia at 2 in the afternoon. P.S. I have a feeling "the Parrot" is goin' to be aboard QE2 Westbound Dec 15th winter crossing? Ah, you salty sea dog you -- save some of tha salt for the good ole Golden Lion fish-n-chips! Pass tha vinegar there matie! Bob.

geoffUK Posted August 25, 2004 #8 Share Posted August 25, 2004 Hi PAULNJILL, Which New England cruise are you on ? We are travelling from Manchester for the 29th Sept cruise. Only booked last week - last minute decision but really looking forward to it. I would think there will be at least three if not four formal nights. thats one suit for the man and at least four cocktail dresses for the lady!
