Buchart Gardens

The previous thread listed ways to get to Victoria from the dock, avoiding the long ferry ride. Is there a similar way to go from a hotel, also avoiding the ferry? Or am I confused and there is no way without the ferry?

The posters who are going from the dock have port stops in Victoria. If you are going from Vancouver, you must go by ferry, or plane. I don't think Vancouver Island is connected to the mainland at all, is it?

Yes its an Island, completely surrounded by water. If your ship is stopping in Vancouver for a day, you would have to take either a ferry or plane over to the Island in order to see Butchart Gardens (not really time for it if the ship is only in Vancouver for a few hours). If your ship is stopping in Victoria, its only a 40 minute drive from the dock to the Gardens.
