danya83 Posted June 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2007 We are traveling on Mariner in Sept (the 23). SIL booked an E1 room for herself at a really low rate (it was 709pp...I believe) back in march. She has found someone to split the room with her. How will this work? Will her room price jump to the current selling price PP or will it stay what we all paid????? Someone here has to know. TIA!
Rare BecciBoo Posted June 20, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2007 I am almost positive her fare will be the current one, they don't do retroactive pricing to add someone on. But the only sure way to know is to contact RCCL.
DonnaK Posted June 20, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2007 It sounds like she paid the 200% single supplement, so in essence, she paid for two passengers. It shouldn't be a problem, or cost more money, to change the 2nd person from "none" to an actual individual. But, I'm just taking an educated guess here - as the other poster said, the only way to know for sure is to call RCI, assuming you booked directly with them, or call your TA if that applies. (tip: when dealing with RCI over the phone, if you don't get an answer you like, politely hang up and call back a few minutes later. Different customer service agents often give different answers or make different allowances).

reallyitsmema Posted June 20, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2007 I couldn't get past the part that said "SIL booked an E1 room for herself . . ." Sister inlaw booked E1 for herself, what can't you get past? That is a great price.

Albert Ross Posted June 20, 2007 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2007 Both passengers will pay the current rate for a double occupancy cabin. Hard to say what this will be as prices will (probably) have gone up since she booked originally - but hopefully will still be less than her current single rate. SIL = sister in law ?
