RCI or Carnival for 3-night?

Recommended Posts

Advice needed! A friend and I are going to do a girls weekend without the husbands! We are trying to decide between the Monarch of the Seas or the Carnival Paradise.

RCI's price for the three day is about $100 less for an interior cabin guarantee - we don't really care about the cabin since we will hardly be in it.

Anybody out there done both ships? Opinions welcome!

Thanks in advance for any help you all can give!

The Paradise is much newer. I'd probably go with that one. Been on the Monarch and didn't like the layout.

I haven't been on either ship but I have been on identical ships from both cruise lines. I would say that the cabin on the Paradise is likely to be bigger than the cabin on the Monarch. If you're looking for a party, it's more likely to happen on the Paradise as well.

I have to admit, I've been leaning towards the Paradise...but I've seen pics of the Monarch on Webshots and it doesn't look that bad - we are two women in our 40's who basically just want to park it by the pool with a drink in our hand :D - we aren't big partiers at all but we'll probably go to the casino and things like that.
