Flindy&Doc Posted July 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2007 Just booked the Whitepass Rail Excursion and booked an early morning because the 11 o'clock was waitlisted. Can I now ask to be waitlisted for that one and hope to be notified if it becomes available? Would this result in being booked for both or would HAL just change the time for us? We don't board till August 12. Anyone have an opinion on the likelyhood of a change being possible? Thanks.
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2007 We have always taken the early White Pass excursion -- that way we had plenty of time to wonder around and have lunch after the tour.
Jade13 Posted July 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2007 We did the late (3:30pm I think) rail. That way we had the morning in Haines, time for lunch in Skagway etc. We saved a lot of money by booking direct. If you are docked in Skagway you can walk to the railway.. Flindy&Doc Posted July 5, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted July 5, 2007 Thanks to both of you. We will be docked at Haines so will have to take a catamaran to Skagway which is a part of the excursion as booked with HAL. We will be fine with the early time, but would prefer the one mid-day. Just wondering how to accomplish a change of time if it should become available.
marcb71a Posted July 5, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 5, 2007 Get off the ship and buy a ticket at the office. It is half the price that the cruise line charges. Also there is a tour office that is run by Princess but sells all the tours
