Pixelator Posted July 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2007 Hi all! Does anyone know if the Baked Alaska parade is only done in traditional dining, or if it also happens in personal choice dining? I guess it would make sense that they do it all at once, hence it might only be able to be done in traditional dining time. If so, can one reserve traditional dining for that one night only? 29 days to go til Caribbean Princess Eastern Caribbean Cruise - our first! GloriaF Posted July 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2007 Baked Alaska Parade is only in traditional, as you suspected. It is not as easy to change from personal choice to traditional as it is the other way around. I've never done it, but you might be able to work it by speaking with the maitre d towards the end of the cruise.
dforeigner Posted July 13, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2007 Only on traditional. They do still serve it on any time dinning
ArizonaRalphie Posted July 13, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 13, 2007 Darn it. That's one of the things thats high on my reasons for cruising. The ole' Baked Alaska parade. Well, now I'll just have to try to switch from "anytime" to "traditional" Anybody know if they allow "anytime" diners to slip in for the show? Coolmama_1 Posted July 13, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2007 ON our last cruise, we asked the waitstaff in anytime dining where our baked alaska parade was and they marched around our table with lighters!:D
nomars_girl Posted July 13, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2007 They did the parade all through the atrium area on our cruise. Marched right through Crooner's bar with the baked alaskas. It was later than dinner time.
silvercruiser Posted July 13, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 13, 2007 With people at all different stages of eating their dinners they couldn't possibly time all the desserts for the same time in anytime dining.
mhugcat Posted July 14, 2007 #8 Share Posted July 14, 2007 How do you know when the basked alaska parade is. Do they do it for both first and second sitting... I don't want to miss it.
