Silly Sail-Away Question

Somehow I cannot envision a Sail Away Party on an Alaskan cruise the likes of what we've had in the Caribbean Do they do anything at all?

if the weather is good i have seen a 3 piece band play on the lido and sometimes it is canned music though i am usually walking thru to go somewhere else for the view, it changes it seems everytime i have been to alaska

Flintsone that is a good question. I really haven't gotten a great answer yet.Also if ship leaves at 9 pm what time is Muster drill? We leave on the Summit June 25,pre cruisetour,so I don't even know what time we will arrive in Seward.

On the NCL Sun on May 2, there was a BBQ on deck and a band and singer. There was also giveaways of little prizes as well.

I just keep having this mental image of 1,000 people on the lido deck...rum punches in their hands, 4 layers of clothing with a rain slicker, in 40 degree weather, all singing "Who Let The Dogs Out"!! Just doesn't seem the same.

We'll be on the Sun on 6/06. Was the pool-side BBQ good? The ribs on the Sea in January were marvelous!!!

We didn't eat at the BBQ, but the ribs looked good. There were also some sort of kabob, but I think they may have been tough as quite a few seemed to end up in the trash.
