For the newest besides Noordam, you're gonna have to wait until July of next year for the debut of Eurodam aka Edam

There are four Vista's (newest first)

Noordam

Westerdam

Oosterdam

Zuiderdam

Four "R" class vessels:

Amsterdam

Zaandam

Volendam

Rotterdam

Four "S" class vessels:

Veendam

Ryndam

Maasdam

Statendam

And the elegant explorer:

Prinsendam

As far as which one is the "bestest";) opinions will vary - best way to find out is to book one yourselfest, good luck to you!

Which one did you like the best? The only one I've been on is the Noordam, and it was a very beautiful ship and had a great time, however the food could have been better. I went to Alaska 05/07

I for one, don't think newest = best. For us, the best are the 'R' class and the Prinsendam. I'll just leave it at - we don't sail on the 'Vista' class. ;)

Why don't you travel on the Vista class? I only have been on 1 cruise, I am in my mid 30's, and my fiance is in her mid 20's...I was just curious about Holland America's other ships. We loved the Noordam(except for the food...food was mediocore) but the ship was gorgeous, and we wanted to know what people thought of the other ships

:) :D We have been on all classes. Like them all but Rotterdam VI is our favourite. We shop itinerary; class is not important.:) :D
