CRUZIN TOM Posted August 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2007 Most of all don't forget Ivars at pier 54. Get a taste of some really good clam chowder and fried clams. They are also one the only restruarants around that have both New England (white) and Matthattan Clam chowder (red).:)
kamala Posted August 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2007 I second that emotion on Etta's, El Gaucho, Elliott's, and Wild Ginger. Other places on love2cruiseseattle's list are also outstanding. Also, you can get excellent value for lunch at the nicer places, particularly the Met and Wild Ginger. I'd also add Assaggio, Sazerac and Icon Grill to places for consideration. If you're up for an $8 - $12 cabride (or bus trip), I have some excellent local recommendations, particularly if you like various forms of Asian cooking. KC_fn Posted August 3, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 3, 2007 CRUZIN TOM is right -- you simply cannot visit Seattle without eating at Ivar's! In addition to the chowder, try the fish & chips.

briangl Posted August 4, 2007 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2007 Tom is right. Ivars is the place to go. I love the inside dining but the fishbar is top notch too. The only fish & chips place that I like better is Sunfish @ Alki in West Seattle. I also like Cafe Capagne.

momthecruisedirector Posted August 21, 2007 #10 Share Posted August 21, 2007 You can also take the water taxi at pier 55 over to West Seattle and have dinner at Salty's on Alki for a great view of the Seattle skyline. Enjoy the city.
