Denali all day bus tour: shorts or long hiking pants?

DH and I are planning on wearing zipoffs. No idea what the temperatures will be, since averages don't always tell the whole story. I plan zipoffs and some jacketing layers. Better safe than sorry.

you don't say when you are going? but i was there end of june and wore jeans into the park, it was a gorgeous day about 70 and sunny, but i never felt i needed shorts. it depends on your own comfort level. but to be safe bring layers, sweatshirt, rain gear if you will do any hiking

And I was there 9-1-05 and it snowed. :) The zip pants are the best option, along with a jacket. :)
