sksk2 Posted August 6, 2007 #26 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Does any one know how many times they play BINGO on a 7 night cruise? :p Stacy
chazg Posted August 6, 2007 #27 Share Posted August 6, 2007 My wife thinks I'm crazy when I want to play BINGO, until we won $580 on our first cruise with RCI. The rest of the week everyone knew us as the Big Bingo winners until they hit the Jackpot Bingo on Saturday. She also didn't mind that she was able to buy a nice Tennis Bracelet in Cozumel with some of the winnings. On the AOS last summer I split a jackpot which when said and done paid for my need to play bingo for the rest of the cruise. I will be playing again on our Marnier Cruise in a few weeks. Gonzo70 Posted August 6, 2007 #28 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Does any one know how many times they play BINGO on a 7 night cruise? :p Stacy They play it most days; occasionally even twice in a day during sea days.
Gonzo70 Posted August 6, 2007 #29 Share Posted August 6, 2007 I won a free drink by being the official ball checker. Have yet to make a Bingo though.
Arizona Cruz Chic Posted August 6, 2007 #30 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Wow! I wish I had your luck. The odds against winning the jackpot twice are astronomical. I've cruised 15 times, played Bingo everytime and only won once for $220. You better play the lottery! Thanks! I play the lottery all the time.....haven't won anything over $10.......but I won't give up! :D ***
lszu Posted August 6, 2007 #31 Share Posted August 6, 2007 I ususally play at least once a cruise. I saw a guy win around $7K on a jackpot game once. I won $300 last year and will be bringing my bingo t-shirt for luck on my next cruise.
Pat848 Posted August 6, 2007 #32 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Do you have to pay taxes on your winnings? Do they give you a tax form? Same in the casino - do you pay taxes after a certain amount?
KeyOfSea Posted August 6, 2007 #33 Share Posted August 6, 2007 My DH and I have one at least one bingo game on almost every cruise so far (except for 1). Yes, you do have to pay taxes on large amounts but I don't know what that amount is. We've never won that much.
Quampapetet Posted August 6, 2007 #34 Share Posted August 6, 2007 Don't quote me on this, but I think you have to report any contest winnings over $600 for tax purposes. I read that (or something like it) on a Web site of one of those TV game shows once.
adjournthis120 Posted August 7, 2007 #35 Share Posted August 7, 2007 Last year on the Adventure of the Seas, I won $600, my friend won $1100 and my aunt won $2100 on the slots, and none of us had to pay taxes, we were all paid in cash. Don't know if that's the way it is on all ships or for all winnings, but that's the way it was in May 2006 on AOS.
