Which of Marc's tours to chose

Marc has a newer tour that includes a 4x4 ride also. Looks like you snorkle in a coral garden, see the town of Fare, see archeological sites, feed sacred eels etc. Has anyone done this newer tour? Is it a drift snorkle? You visit a vanilla plantation rather than a pearl farm. Then you meet up for the moto picnic.

We cruised FP twice and booked Marc both times; first the boat tour and next time the 4X4. Both were terrific but we preferred the 4X4 as you get everything offered on the boat tour including the drift snorkel but also get to see more of the island also.

Cheers,

Andy

Glad to hear that Andy - we leave tommorrow for the TP on Aug 12th and booked Marc's 4 x 4....we weren't sure which one to do either but looks like you get more variety with the 4 x 4...

Thanks for the validation :p

When we went, not bad at all....not really 4-wheeling, as they do on Bora Bora - just a tour in the back of a jeep-like thing. A lot of the time in the shade. I'm a beach person, but was really glad we did the 4 x 4 - I got plenty of time in the water during the picnic (though see in more recent pics that they've moved the picnic tables to the shore) and the drift snorkel was great!!!

We went on Marc's snorkel & motu picnic tour. The first snorkel stop was awesome....then we stopped at a pearl farm....then the drift snorkel...which was nice, but not nearly as beautiful and colorful as our first stop...finally the motu picnic....it was great fun! Great food, local beer, rum drinks, sodas. etc and fun, fun entertainment.

Those who were on Marc's 4x4 in the AM transferred to an outrigger, did the drift snorkel and then met up with our group at the motu.

We did the snorkel tour because snorkeling was a priority for us and because we were doing 4x4 tours on other islands. I don't think you can go wrong with either of Marc's tours...it just depends on what you like, but if you're a snorkeler Marc's first snorkel site was one of the best of our 10-day cruise.

Also: The drift snorkel thru Princess or Bruno on Tahaa is not to be missed...Ditto for snorkeling with the rays & sharks at Bora Bora & Moorea.
