Ever had an appointment at the spa aboard Destiny?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about booking a spa appointment, maybe a couple's massage. Anyone ever had one or any other kind of spa treatments aboard Destiny? Please tell me about your experience.

Prices and info on how to book would also help immensely.

Many feel they are overpriced, since Destiny only has one Sea Day its a tighter schedule to plan a spa time. I have done a few on Destiny over the past few years and have no complaints on the quality. There is a hard sell of spa products, so be prepared to say no, if you arent interested.

Have you been over to the Destiny thread? Many have that bookmarked and will see the Destiny questions and answer them. At times the Destiny questions posted randomly will get overlooked. Here is the link

Yes, I had a facial that I booked for a port day at a very big discount. Secret- if you book on a port day and reschedule it, they still will give your the big discount :) :).... I like the facials on board, but if you don't want your entire experience to be a sales pitch for products, make sure you make it well known on your survey/information sheet and to your spa person.

Enjoy!

I took advantage of one of the spa specials on Destiny last November: pick 3 treatments for $99 (or was it $79?). Anyways, I chose the 20-minute facial, the foot and ankle massage and the deep scalp massage. The facial was nice, the foot and ankle massage was awesome (all my blisters from wearing high heals in San Juan on those cobblestone streets were eliminated), and the scalp massage was just too short! I went on St Thomas day....been there, done that, plenty of time to have a spa treatment on port days especially if you have late dinner seating.

Enjoy!

I would rather spend my money on the very expensive shore excursions and the hotels in London in Rome. That is just way to expensive for something that is not needed IMO. You on vacation, how more relaxed do you need to get LOL.

??? The Destiny doesn't call on London or Rome. Needs and wants are a personal decision and alot of folks only endulge while they are on vacation. The Destiny is a ship that calls on ports 6 out of 7 days, so a vacation is MUCH needed upon return if not during this busy busy cruise.. :)

Haha no I totally see your point. I love the spa from home more than anything. I'm considering the cruise spa because my boyfriend's birthday falls on one of the cruise days and I thought it might be easier not to carry an acutal gift along and just give him a spa treatment.
