Best Lounges/Bartenders on the Dawn

Lets face it, a lot of us enjoy a good cocktail while on vacation and I am no exception. My questions are for those who have sailed on the Dawn before.

 

1) Where is the best bar/lounge for a before dinner drink? Or more specifically, where is the best place to get a GOOD martini? (I think I saw a champagne lounge listed but not a martini bar, per say)

 

2) Where is the best bar for people watching? and conversely, where is the best bar for quiet times, maybe with comfortable seating or a great view?

 

3) Do you have any favorite bartenders? I assume that the crew gets scheduled to different lounges at different times, but it never hurts to have a name to look out for :)

Hello, my favorite spot for a cocktail on the Dawn is the Atrium Lounge - midship deck 7 - it's the crossroads of the ship. Everyone on board at some point during the evening will walk through this area. It has great seating at the bar and at tables scattered around the baby grand piano.

 

It has been reported recently that the champagne and caviar bar has recently been "reassigned" to a martini bar, you'll find it in the smaller atrium area on deck 7 just below the casino. It's smaller and more intimate than the Atrium Lounge.

 

The Dawn is my favorite ship and if you're looking for a great bar ondeck, make sure to check out the Riviera Bar on deck 12. It has seating on both sides; facing the pool in the shade (most of the time) and on the sunnier side with your back to the pool. Of course this is only helpful if you're in the warmer climates!;)
