Transportation from Orlando to Port Canaveral

What is the best and/or cheapest method of transportation from the Orlando Airport to a hotel in the Port Canaveral area? And then what is best for the return trip from the ship? Is it better to use RCI's transportation or a taxi? Any ideas would be appreciated.

We rented a Budget full size car (Taurus) for about $25 per day. Pretty reasonable by rental standards, especially for that size car. The return office is just 5 minutes from the port and they run a constant shuttle bus on embarkation day.

 

For the return, originally we had a private van reserved with others. However, they never showed up. We ended up purchasing the bus transfers right from the bus driver for $10 each. You couldn't go wrong with that!

We have done the Budget car rental several times to the port and www.artsshuttle.com multiple times, once or twice to the port and several times back to Orlando International and have found them to be very reliable.

 

Both are very easy to do.
