momof5js Posted August 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2007 Which cruise line cruises to Costa Rica? My husband's brother & his wife live in Costa Rica. We thought it might be a good way to go see them. They could meet us in a port. So we're wondering which cruise we'd want to take.

kitty9 Posted August 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2007 Any cruise line that does either a full or partial transit of the Panama Canal makes a stop in Costa Rica. BUT, a lot depends on which side of CR your family lives. The cruises that do the partial transit only stop in the eastern side of CR, but the full transits might stop in both the eastern and western. If you choose an itinerary opposite of where they live, unless they cross the country to meet you, the time you're in port won't allow you to go so far to see them. Princess partial and full transit Panama Canal cruises stop. The partials stop in Limon and the full stop on the Pacific side.
parody Posted August 25, 2007 #9 Share Posted August 25, 2007 Almost every cruise line you ever heard of stops at Costa Rica at one time or another. The main ports for cruises vsiting Costa Rica are Caldera, Golfito, Corcovado, Puntarenas and Quepos on the Pacific coast and Limon on the Caribbean coast. To find out more precisely the cruises that stop at any of these ports by month of the year, click here.
