Promenade 8589 on Freedom of the Seas

Can someone tell me the benefits/drawbacks of staying in a cabin that faces the promenade? Is it noisy, etc.....Had booked a balcony when I realized the difference in $$ will cover oour airline tickets...

My sister stayed in one of those rooms once. The only time she heard noise (and it was slight) was during the parties, like the parades, dancing in the street, etc. But those don't last long and normal traffic was not heard.

 

Otherwise, for an interior, it's the way to go. You have a love-seat and a window seat.

 

Although, the rooms are a little smaller. You would have more sf with the balcony.
