"F"s are on Emerald deck and the life boats hang outside of the window. How much you can see, ranging from just daylight to no obstruction depends on which F you have. We have had these cabins with full view and some with about 50% view. Usually you can look over or around the life boat.

We always book an inside and this last cruise were "upgraded" to a "G". We didn't know what to expect but could actually see a lot out our window and we loved the extra floor space that came with the obstructed outside category.

We are on the Oosterdam Oct, 24th and just got an upgrade from an inside room to an outside, partially obstructed view, which means we have the same size room that comes with a balcony, which would be above us, but we only have a window. With a partial obstruction the window is between the life boats, so we will be able to see out between them. With a obstructed view, the window is behind the life boats and about the only benefit you get form these is the bigger room, and you can open the curtain, but all you will see is the side of a lifeboat... I just like the bigger room... Bombero

PS.. There are only several partials on each side of the ship, the rest are all fully obstructed...

Are those deck diagrams accurate ? If your cabin is located just between the lifeboats according to the diagram, I guess you get an almost fullview ?

There are may be 2 or 3 such rooms on each side.

They are MOSTLY accurate, and yes, sometimes you have to look for the obstruction.
