Wine Enforcement of 1 bottle????

Has anyone been flagged for checking wine? i.e. if the two of us each check one bottle, so only two are going to our room, and then we each carry on one bottle, is there even a way for them to match that up? Thanks! Also, has anyone had any trouble bringing on the 1.75 L bottles? We also like to enjoy some on our balcony - in fact, it's the reason we book balcony - and didn't know about the policy change before we booked our December sailing.

Guess that's why we never have a problem carrying on several bottles! I refuse to pack my champagne in my checked luggage. We carry it on, and it's never been an issue.

How closely do they look at the bottles of wine that we bring on? I don't drink wine......Do the wine bottle have to be unopened, or can they be corked?

The last time they pulled our bottles out of our bag to look at it was in 2000. Every other time, it's just gone through the scanner and they haven't said a word. Others have reported differently.

Ontario's tetra-paks, are basically juice boxes, just MUCH bigger...

I'm planning on taking 5 of them!!!

On the times we cruised, we always drove to the ship. I bubbled wrapped 12 bottles of wine and sent them through the porter. Never had any problem. This time we're flying and we're packing an extra bag and purchasing wine at a local store. I'll bubble wrap them and send them through the porter. Will carry on the one bottle of champagne as it will be the expensive one. I don't anticipate a problem.
