1fineday Posted October 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2007 Suggestions as to the "best" of these and how to get there? Thanks everyone!!!
cruiseapril Posted October 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2007 Willemstad is a World Heritage site. We spent an afternoon walking through the small city, photographing the colorful buildings. You can take the Trolley Train around the city to the historic sites or take the Curacao Highlights tour, as well as do your own walking tour. Fort Amsterdam, the Curacao Museum, Pietermaai Cathedral, the old synagogue, and the Floating Market are some of the interesting places to visit. We like to spend a half day in Willemstad- sightseeing, and the other half at one of Curacao's lovely small beaches.

cruiseapril Posted October 19, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2007 Have a wonderful cruise. We'll be on the Westerdam a few months after you- back to Curacao! Will you be doing a port review?
1fineday Posted October 20, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted October 20, 2007 Oh yes! We will definitely provide reviews of the ports and the ship. We have been assisted a great deal by cc members and wish to "pass it on"!:) There is a very active roll call for this cruise (Jan 27, 2008, Westerdam) and I am sure many of the other cc'ers aboard will provide reviews as well. islandgrandma Posted December 15, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2007 Hi there- we would like to maybe spend 1/2 day walking around town and seeing what is there- historical not shopping. Then had hoped to rent a car and go see something other than countryside, are there historical places to visit outside of town? Would hire a guide but there are already 6 of us so that would mean renting larger than 6 passenger vehicle. Not necessary to do the beach since have done that already quite a bit. What would anyone suggest? Many thanks, BW:)
