kubri32 Posted November 2, 2007 #51 Share Posted November 2, 2007 On the Sept 30 cruise, we asked for a table for two but were assigned a 4-top. After speaking with the head waiter (and dropping $20) our request was kindly granted. We had a wonderful time. 4th cruise with RCCL and the best yet. katstoy Posted November 2, 2007 #52 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Thanks for all of your helpful comments! We will be taking our first cruise on Vision in December with extended family. We'll have 14 with "kids" from 20-2. We are very excited and looking forward to a great time. Yours is the sailing we took in Dec 05 and Dec 06! You will love love love it! It was soooo nice to have 90 degree, sunny weather in Cabo in December! Beware - though - both years on the sea days home it was very rough. In 05 it wasn't as bad, we had a blast in the pools each time the ship rocked and rolled. There were mini waves in the pool. However, in 2006, it was so bad they closed both pools on Saturday. Northbound it was like fighting a strong current upstream. We felt nothing going south, the further south you got the smoother it got. But on that last sea day northbound - woo hoo! The trip is great and it is totally worth it! What excursions, if any, are you doing? In Cabo we did the deluxe coastal cruise (yawn), but if you've never been there it is a nice way to see the coast and get a bit of history (and some chips, this fabulous salsa and some Margaritas). Mazatlan we did the beach, shopping and lunch excursion. You saw a show, walked and shopped in the golden zone (again, nothing special) and then got a nice buffet lunch at a resort and could use the pools/beach for the rest of the afternoon. mrs_ballantino Posted November 2, 2007 #53 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Also I recommend highly the Sierra Madre horseback tour in Puerto Vallarta--really good--you can ride bareback in the water while a horse swims--it was amazing Any questions? Will you please tell me more about the Sierra Madre horseback riding excursion? It's the only one we're planning to do. If you're riding the horses bareback while they swim, do you need to wear a swimsuit? Is it difficult to ride bareback? Did you enjoy the lunch that they provide? Do you have any pictures to share? Thank you! Teresa
