Excursions - Cozumel, Playa del Carmen

My husband and I are going on the Holiday cruise leaving the 19th of this month. As of now, we still have not booked any excursions for either port. I was hoping for some recommendations for both ports. I have been to Playa del Carmen in June so I know what to expect from there, but not really from Cozumel.....so any advise on what excursions to pick would be great. This is my second cruise and my husbands first....so we are still new at this. Also, it being November, i realize in Mexico it wont be cold, but how about at night when we are at sea? Do you think a light weight jacket would be ideal? Any and all info you can give me would be great....Thanks!!!!
