frankathy Posted November 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2007 Has anyone heard that this is charted or in dry dock? It has disappeared from their site and other sites as well.
jhp Posted November 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2007 My TA's website shows it in dry dock.
marienbad Posted November 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2007 We were booked on this, and found it had disappeared from the schedule. Called Regent, and it is going into drydock.
frankathy Posted November 28, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted November 28, 2007 Did they offer you a deal. We are booked on it too.
marienbad Posted November 28, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2007 It is my understanding that they will offer some sort of future benefit. Regent said they would let my TA know what it will be.
frankathy Posted November 29, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted November 29, 2007 This is the 2nd time we have been bumped from the Voyager and once from the Diamond. The offers are good but they have a short expiration. Plus they have held our deposit that could be used on another cruise
marienbad Posted November 29, 2007 #7 Share Posted November 29, 2007 Actually I heard yesterday from my TA. Regent will refund the deposit, or give $250 per person credit to another cruise to be taken before Dec. 31, 2009. That seems fair to me.
Wendy The Wanderer Posted November 29, 2007 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2007 So they get to keep your deposit all that time? Or, if you don't take the offer, they just return your deposit? Doesn't sound very fair to me. I would have thought they would refund your deposit *immediately*, and give you a coupon for the future cruise credit. That is perhaps what you meant, and if so, then it sounds fair.
marienbad Posted November 29, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 29, 2007 I gave you the information I received. I do not know if they intend to keep the deposit for the next cruise or return it now. Given the small amount of the deposit and the fact that we will take another cruise with them by Dec. 31, 2009, I really don't care. We were really not inconvenienced by the cancellation, and have booked Seabourn instead.
frankathy Posted December 12, 2007 Author #10 Share Posted December 12, 2007 I received a fax today from Regent about the dry dock. They will refund our deposit and give us a future cruise credit of 250.00 p/p Categories C to H and Categories MS to B get 500.00 per person. This offer is valid until 12/31/2009
comettgirl Posted December 12, 2007 #11 Share Posted December 12, 2007 Oh dear, we are booked on the Voyager the week before... Dec. 1 thru 8... Should I be concerned that the offerings, service will not be up to par because of dry dock being the following week? Will they skimp on supplies because they don't want anything to go to waste in drydock?
frankathy Posted December 12, 2007 Author #12 Share Posted December 12, 2007 Regent is not know for skimping. They offered to put us on your sailing but we wanted a 10 day. Deeper Eastern. You shouuld be fine.
