I've gotten a ton of different travel books for the region and I would go with the 2005 Jan Prince book. From all the research I've done for our upcoming trip and this past one there, it is the most bang for your buck! It has lots of info, just be aware that some things(like ownership of hotels, availability of services, etc) might have changed when you read it.

Jan Prince's book ( late 2005 ) is my daily homework reading with tons of valid information.

 

For the price ( $ 24.00 ) still the best value around. I trust the local presence of the writer more than any visiting travel writers. The task to replace/ update 900 pages is monumental this explains the delay for the 2008 issue.
