I know this has been asked before but I can't find the answer. Semana Mangroves Tour

from NCL. Not the one in the Kayaks. The one with the caves, mangroves and then some time at Cayo Levantado. Has anyone done this? It is not cheap and if it is a waste of time (like a lot of people posted about other Semana excursions), I will cancel it.

we plan on doing the kayak tour when we visit Samana in June. We just bought kayaks this year and we had a blast with them.

And who said stay on the ship because there is nothing to do in Samana, NCL offers 4 pages of tours? This is somewhat of a new port, just give it time and I am sure things would get better. In fact many cruisers put down Costa Maya also but it grew into a great stop. Don't stay on the ship, get out there and explore.:)

I plan to go on an excursion. I am just trying to pick an appropriate one. My younger daughter is 9 and I don't think she's be up for Kayaking (honestly, I am so out of shape that neither would I). NCL also offers a caves and mangroves exploration tour with a beach escape tacked on to the end. This is the one I am looking at. Has anyone actually done this tour?

I think I read somewhere on this forum about that excursion. Either someone who had done the excursion or heard an experience from a fellow cruiser that had a good time. I remember reading something about how they had wished they had brought a flashlight. If I can find it, I'll post the link. From what I remember, the review was positive.
