RogerandChris Posted December 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2007 I've got a couple of quick questions about BMC. I'm in St. Lucia & Kitts, is it available there (I know it's from Jamaica)? About how much per pound (It's my men's Christmas gift) because I'll be getting about 15 pounds? Counterfeiting a problem? Stores? TIA
bonniemari Posted December 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2007 Not sure about St Lucia/Kitts. Just make sure it says 100% JBMC and not a blend. If you are planning on buying 15 lbs make sure you barter with the vendor. I have gotten it as low as $8 lb. when I purchaed 20lbs. This was in Montego Bay. RogerandChris Posted December 2, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted December 2, 2007 I'm basing half my Christmas shopping on coffee.
firefly333 Posted December 3, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2007 In Jamaica I had a guide who said he could probably get it down to $17 a lb if I bought 5 lbs. Iv been told to only get whole beans, not ground because ground they can add stuff to. So far, my best buy of coffee was some I got in Roatan. I did come home with the big brands last time I was in the Cayman's but it was not knock out quality, wondered how old it was. Im a coffee fanatic. I would also stick to the main brands of Blue Mountain. Its way expensive and I love the smell, but what I bought in Grand Cayman didnt come up to par for me. abitaturbodog Posted December 3, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2007 Have you asked this question on the Ports of Call Board? You might be able to find a reputable store than someone recommends.
