kasualkathy Posted December 7, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 7, 2007 I thought I heard that you would receive a "free" stateroom or free for one person on a certain number of stateroom bookings. Is that true? If so, how many do you need to book in order to receive this? or is this something that is offered by TA and not RCI?
CruiseQueenie Posted December 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2007 Good Morning: I have never heard of that but with the RCI VISA, we just went on our "free 7 day cruise for 2" which we received for an outside stateroom and then upgraded to our suite. So we only had to pay for the difference but had we kept the outside stateroom - it would have been free.
funnsun Posted December 7, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 7, 2007 for every 8 rooms that are booked, you would receive one free berth. You would still need to pay port charges and taxes though. I just did this for our upcoming cruise. I found 7 other families to come along and we are receiving $670 discount on our cruise!
TEXASMUNK Posted December 7, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2007 Must be booked as a group. For example, you could not find 8 other couples going and then cobble them together to get a freebie. You must book the group, then when the cabins are sold, you would get the freebie. The freebie is often times the berth in the lowest catagory cabin booked for the group. Taxes and fees would also apply. When organizing a group, you can take the value of the free berth and divide it amounst the group thus lowering everyone's per person cost. Iv heard the free berth is the category cabin that the group booked the most cabins of. If you have 2 insides, 4 OVs, and 2 balconys, the free berth would be the cruise portion of the OV price.
