Hotel on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale

I cannot suggest somewhere to stay but I can suggest that you avoid the Sheraton Yankee Clipper. We stayed there and found it dull, dingy and, to be honest, not very pleasant. One plus point it is right on the beach......regards Neil

The time of year you plan on visiting greatly impacts the price of lodging. The Lago Mar is the nicest hotel on the beach, the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort is a nice property as well and it's directly on the beach as well. The only other hotels on the beach are the Sheraton Yankee Clipper, a little past it's prime and the Pelican Beach Resort which is great for families.

I agree with Bequia. Time of year is a major factor in terms of price. Like Beauia, I highly recommend the Lago Mar. It is right on the beach and the beach is beautiful and from that location you can see cruise ships aririving and departing.
