Car Rental at San Pedro

We are renting a car from Enterprise at LAX to be returned 2 days later at San Pedro when we board Vision. Problem is their LAX desk closes at 11:00 PM, and our flight, which is chronically late from JFK, is due to arrive just before that. So I'm worried that the desk will be closed when we get there. Does any other car rental agency do one-way rentals to the San Pedro pier?

No. You would have to drop the car to either the Long Beach Airport, or downtown Long Beach, or a closeby city such as Torrance, then cab from there.

We just rented from Enterprise LAX for a one-way, on 12/9. If your flight is close to the 11 pm, you probably won't make it. There really isn't a "desk" at the airport. You take a shuttle van (which was suppose to run every few minutes, we probably waited atleast 20 minutes for it to come...tried calling at 2:30 pm and there was no answer) to an off-site location, about 10 mins away. Not a quick and easy adventure.

One possibility, since you're arriving so late anyway is to book an airport hotel for the first night and just take their free shuttle to the hotel. Then in the morning, one of you can shuttle back to the airport to pick up the rental car and you can stay wherever you like the next night.
