What's wrong with Iberia?

First of all it is important to note that most flights with Iberia -- or any other airline -- will be without a major incident. That said, Iberia has earned its reputation with poor service. When things go wrong, Iberia does little to help. This includes missed connections, lost luggage and canceled flights.

For more details and other points of view, I suggest reading the comments on airline specific discussion sites and on the airline forum of cruisecritic's sister site, tripadvisor, com

We just returned on Iberia MIA-VCE round trip thru Madrid with a change of terminals and planes. We found Iberia lived up to our expectations: on time, clean and new planes, open bar at the rear of the plane, friendly flight attendants. Yes there were a couple of problems: check in at Venice was chaotic, One bag lost at Miami (someone else took our bag by mistake) The person who took our bag back to Iberia and they had it delivered to our house by 8pm. All in all the price was fantastic ($700. round trip) I'd use them again.
