roothy123 Posted December 31, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2007 We ate at a place just over the bridge (Ponte V) with an American name - Golden View or something like that. Food was wonderful. I had lasagna (I know, pedestrian!) and my husband had a bowl of soup that was fabulous.
shemp2000 Posted December 31, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2007 Hi,Can anybody reccommend restaurants in Florence for lunch? We enjoyed Quattro Leoni florence. Type it in google and it comes out on top for more information. Also search for an earlier set of postings titled "Quick Bite in Florence" for more info. maja Posted February 29, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 29, 2008 Hi maryrnp, We're going to try & make it over to Trattoria Za Za. Read some good reviews & our tour guide approved. Here's their website- http://www.trattoriazaza.it/
GSPLover Posted February 29, 2008 #6 Share Posted February 29, 2008 Trattoria Da Mario, via della Rosina 2r, tel 055-218550 www.trattoriamario.com Excellent food. Healthy servings. Great prices. Near the Mercato Centrale. Favorite of locals. Like a typical NY/NJ diner they want you in and out as soon as possible. Small place. Limited seating. Menu on a chalkboard (may change every few minutes while you are waiting.)
kdowneymd Posted March 2, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2008 Da Fortunato's right near the Pantheon is wonderful. It is favored by politicians as it is near the Italian Senate, very few tourists. If you eat at the outside tables there is a wonderful view of the Pantheon
