Newbie to getting a balcony, seeks feedback

Recommended Posts

Hi we are getting a balcony category E2 on Adventure of the Seas.

This willl be our 2nd cruise. On our first one, we took an inside cabin.

After reading up more on this site, I didn't realize that there was so many different categories when refering to a balcony.

Can somebody give me their impression of a cabin category E2?

I hope we are not dissapointed with our choice.

What is your favorite cabin category when cruising?

Thanks,

Don't quote me, but I think the E1, E2 and D1 are all the same size? Go onto Rccl website and compare them. I think the D1's are on higher decks, and the E1's and E2's are on lower decks.

No, the above is NOT correct E1 and E2 are the same size and the difference is the number of passengers that each will hold. D1's are more square ft, around 14 sq foot larger than the E's if I remember. I have had E's on the Explorer (same as Adventure) and the room is fine. If you click on the link in my signature for Explorer you will see pictures of the room 8586

Can you fit 3 people (one being a 10 year old) into an E1 or E2 balcony with a 2 section couch? We are considering taking our 22 year old son and our 10 year old daughter, booking the 10 year old with the 22 year old in an inside cabin but then having the 10 year old sleep with us in a balcony. Just want to make sure there will be room for her to sleep.
