Slot machine-Euros Costa Fortuna

I read on the review that the Fortuna casino slot machines use Euros, so... do they have machines that cost the equivalant of $1.00 or what denominations are the machines?:confused: Thank you!

All the machines have been converted to US $. They accept bills only and pay out in Costa tokens which you have to take to the cashier to change to US money. Good luck, I did not do any good but a few in our group did.

FYI: I don't know how Costa does it, but on Royal the age you are on the day you sail is the age you consider you for the whole trip! I know there were some upset kids who were turning 21 on one cruise as they couldn't drink....

The legal drinking and gambling age on Fortuna is 18.

Does anyone know, do the slot machines take US $ in Europe or only in the Caribbean? Does anyone know what limits the Black Jack tables are and if the limits for Black Jack in Europe are in Euros or US Dollars? I know I read somewhere that the casino used Euros (sailing on the Concordia in Feb out of Italy) and I'm assuming there are some differences in whether you are cruising the Med or the Caribbean. So much I read on the Costa boards is really about cruising the Caribbean. It wouldn't make sense to convert the casino to US $ when there is under 10% Americans on the ship over there. I read all about the "toga party" and then found out that is only in the Caribbean, not in Europe....that is one strange difference I have come across. Has anyone cruised both the Caribbean and the Med on Costa, I would really be interested in the notable differences. I count on these boards for useful information and I am often mislead (unintentionally) I have read so many prices on the X1 and the kids drink cards that I could safely say I have not read the same price twice. I assumed that had to do with the fluxuation of the US $, am I correct?
