I've never used either one, but I'm getting ready to do so soon. Thanks! We had good luck with http://www.hotels.com for a booking in Stockholm. Also http://www.tripadvisor.com can be very good for both background info and in doing checking through various web booking sites for pricing. ENJOY! Globaliser Posted January 17, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2008 Does anyone have a preference for one or the other discount sites? If you're interested in Priceline's bidding site, it is not an alternative to other methods of booking. Use it as a parallel tool. If you get something at a decent price by bidding on Priceline, then cancel any other arrangements you've made. It can give great results, but it is neither safe nor sensible to choose it as the sole means of trying to book accommodation. Having said that, I've had some brilliant stays in top-notch Paris hotels whose normal prices I could not even dream of paying. Make sure you use the data tools out there before bidding, too - notably http://www.biddingfortravel.com.
