Canuker Posted January 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2008 Any one have first-hand experience of either of these ports of call, in the Canary Islands, please? Do, don'ts, musts, etc.
Longin2cruise Posted January 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2008 In Tenerife take a tour to the top of Mt. Tiede, the highest mountain in Spain. Interesting scenery on the way up but when you get to the top it looks like a moonscape. There's a nice restaurant at the top with good food. I have no idea what I ate, but it was good & in my book, that's what's important.
Cruise Junky Posted January 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2008 We have friends that just came back from Lanzarote, they loved it. I'll find out what excursion they did, they were on a HAL transatlantic.
ianj Posted January 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2008 Any one have first-hand experience of either of these ports of call, in the Canary Islands, please?Do, don'ts, musts, etc. We were in Lanzarote in December on the Century transatlantic. We pre-arranged a tour with lanzaroteguidebook.com and were very happy with it. I'd guess Timanfaya Volcano Park would be one of the 'musts'
operafan Posted January 21, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2008 We were in Lanzarote in November. An absolute "must-do" is the Volcano park. Absolutely awesome.
