Suggestions for Tenerife & Lanzarote, please

In Tenerife take a tour to the top of Mt. Tiede, the highest mountain in Spain. Interesting scenery on the way up but when you get to the top it looks like a moonscape. There's a nice restaurant at the top with good food. I have no idea what I ate, but it was good & in my book, that's what's important.

Any one have first-hand experience of either of these ports of call, in the Canary Islands, please?

Do, don'ts, musts, etc.

We were in Lanzarote in December on the Century transatlantic. We pre-arranged a tour with lanzaroteguidebook.com and were very happy with it.

I'd guess Timanfaya Volcano Park would be one of the 'musts'
