The Mi Dushi excursion was cancelled for our cruise...Too bad!!

Just in case you have options, we did the "Mi Dushi" sail and snorkel through Princess on out recent Panama Canal cruise. We loved it, thought they did a great job and would recommend them.

New Waves / Aruba Sail & Snorkel

AUA-V.jpg A sleek sailing catamaran whisks you off on a snorkeling expedition to one of Aruba?s famed coral gardens, and conditions permitting, to one of the largest shipwrecks in the Caribbean.

WHAT YOU VISIT

Board your catamaran and enjoy a tropical fruit punch during your scenic cruise. At the reef site, snorkel and explore a shallow coral garden featuring star, brain, and willowy sea rod corals. Parrotfish, blue tangs, and schools of chromis are routinely seen here. Then, conditions permitting, sail to the Antilla. This 440-foot-long shipwreck attracts schools of fish to its coral and sponge-encrusted decks. After your snorkel the sails are hoisted for a relaxing coastal cruise that includes complimentary rum or fruit punch. Snorkeling equipment including snorkel vest, professional instruction, supervision, and transportation are included.

SPECIAL NOTES

Wear a swimsuit and bring a towel and adequate sun protection

We have done this tour a couple of times over the years, very nice tour.

We did this one in December. You just cross the street and get onto the boat. There are two spots -- the first one isn't too great, but still that beautiful warm water and we did see fish, just not much coral. The next one is over a ship that was wrecked and split in half and it was fantastic snorkeling.

There was an open bar and good crew. We thought it was a good tour.

First stop for ours was just off the Divi Aruba Beach Resort. Lots of algae so the water was pretty green. Lots of fish, though, and shallow water so you were close. Second stop is at the Antillian cargo sunken ship in 90' of water. You could see large fish down on the bottom (with the divers) but current was nasty enough that one person had to be towed back to the boat by a guide. She was a bit nervous until he got there but there were at least 10 other boats that could have picked her up so was not in danger.

Bus was only $1.25 US (and they give change!) to take you anywhere up the beach - you can easily just get a ride up somewhere, snorkel maybe 100' off the beach in calm water and then take a bus back to town.

OK snorkeling and good crew but nothing special.

Having taken a land trip on Aruba--we've been on every boat/ship available--they all do the same the wreck and the reef--sometimes the wreck is really crowded with all the boats there at the same time--

Mi Dushi--seems to be having a good time--loads of folks getting pushed off the boat--I won't go with them--just for that reason--I'll get in the water when I'm ready--not when someone thinks it's fun to help me in unexpectedly--Just too old for that much fun--they must have a lot more rum in their punch--

The "Mi Dushi" trip we took had people of all ages from a couple of kids to people in thier 60's. Everyone was doing their own thing and nobody got pushed off. Just good, safe fun and they don't open the bar until the third snorkel spot.

It was fun for us because we were on another boat--at the wreck--just watching--
