john07 Posted February 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2008 Greetings - I am attempting to schedule a day sail in St Marten on 4/23. I am on the Caribbean Princess which departs the island at 5 pm. The excursion lasts until 4pm and I would then need to take a 15 minute taxi ride back to the ship. If my math is correct that leaves a 45 minute buffer time, correct? The ship is on the same time as the island, correct? Thanks in advance, John
gtaylor Posted February 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2008 Ship's time and island time should be the same during Daylight Saving Time, which begins March 8th this year. But if the ship sails at 5:00, I suspect that they would want you back on board by 4:30, which cuts your buffer time to 15 minutes. That said, I can't think of a daysail that would be a 15 minute taxi ride from the cruise facility. I would think it would be (much) less or (much) more time than that. gary
gtaylor Posted February 20, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2008 I checked the itinerary for your cruise. It looks like the ship leaves at 6:00, so you should have plenty of time. gary
