wolfcel Posted February 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Has anyone been on this tour in Tortola? SEE & SEA: TORTOLA Cruise among the beautiful islands of this unique archipelago. View the southern shoreline of Tortola and the surrounding islands of Salt, Peter and Norman, made famous as hideaways for pirates and buccaneers. Your journey takes you past uninhabited islands and by the island of St. John, which is preserved for posterity by Laurence Rockefeller as a nature reserve. At Sopher's Hole, stroll through the interesting boutiques and souvenir shops. The open-sided safari continues along the north shore of Tortola before ascending to the Ridge Road, which twists its way along the ridge of the island offering spectacular views of the surrounding islands. Does anyone have any other recomendations besides Snorkling (no one in our party is up for snorkling.) What shouldn't we miss??
JerseyMom Posted February 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2008 We did this excursion last year and it was nice. On the "See" portion you got some pretty breathtaking views from the highest points on the island. My favorite was the "Sea" portion. They took us took us to Pusser's Bay and we had some free time to shop or get a drink and then we went out on a catamaran. They gave us a choice of either fruit punch or rum punch. It was on the excursion that my Dad asked "Do we have to leave here?" He was even asking some of the guides about real estate.
lhall85917 Posted February 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Thanks for asking this question, we have it booked next month. Last summer we went to The Baths so wanted to do something different this time and see a little more. This excursion seemed to fit the bill. I'll post a trip report when we get back.
