Hello! :)

My family and I are going on a Back To Back cruise on the Carnival Liberty in June. We have been on 12 cruises in the last 3 1/2 years, but this will be our first Back2Back. What can you tell me about your experience with a back 2 back? How do they work it with you staying on the ship when others leave? Can you go around and do what you want to on the ship? We have the same cabin for both weeks. I wonder do you have the same dining room and same waitstaff or do they change you? Did they have the same shows and they same comedians, etc. or did some of that change? What are some of the neat things you can tell us about a back2back? We are really excited about not having to put suitcases out and get off the ship after a week!!! Any information or experiences that you have had with a back 2 back will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Pam

First of all congrats on your B2B.

We have done B2B's on RCL so not sure how Carnival works.

Yes, you get very excited the last night of the first week when everyone is busy packing and you are still enjoying the ship. We received a notice in our room about 2 nites before the end of the first week. This notice told us to meet in a certain lounge at 10.15am and a ships staff member takes everyone on a B2B off the ship through customs and right back onto the ship. You will need your old sea pass and passport or documents you use for customs. You get your new sea card from the staff member and when you are back on the ship you have another full week to enjoy the ship and ports of call. Once we had a captain change and a cruise director change. The production shows stayed the same but some of the special entertainment did change.

Just relax, enjoy and you will be just fine:D :)

My DH and I and another couple did a B2B on Carnival victory last Jan.

It was great!

As the other poster stated, everyone who is doing B2B will meet and you will be escorted off the ship, through customs and right back on the ship.

That morning, go up to the spa and tell them you are on a B2B and ask if they need anyone for demos for the spa tours.

My friend and I did this and we both got a free 1 1/2 hour spa treatment.:D

It's great as long as you don't mind groups of ppl coming in and seeing you. :o You will be completely covered. If you do this, don't forget to tip.
