Accra, Worthing/Sandy Beach, Carlisle Bay?

We are spending a day in Barbados later this month. We are torn with these beaches: Accra Beach, Worthing/Sandy Beach at Carib Beach Bar and Lobster Alive at Carlisle Bay.

 

Is the Carib Beach Bar area of the beach eroded away due to weather/hurricanes? Do they have good food here?

 

Which would be the nicest beach to spend the day?

 

We are looking for a nice beach bar/restaurant, gradual sandy beach into the water with calm water for swimming and general relaxation with a couple of good books.

Do they have good food here? ===> At Carib? -Yes.

Sounds to me like you need the tranquility of the 'lagoon' at Carib Beach Bar.

There's an outer reef there about 150-200 yds. offshore

that creates a nice calm-water area inside of it

and which is never any deeper than about chest-high(at hi tide).

 

Accra can be a bit rough/surfy - but it depends on the day!

 

The two are not far apart, if one doesn't suit you

and you decide to Up Anchors and make the quick move

for the remainder of your day.. so that's a plus!

 

 

I'd try Accra first,on your way out:

stop briefly, have a quick look at sea conditions and decide..

before you move the 1 mile further out to Carib Beach Bar.

We appreciate your response. Sounds like a great idea...to stop first at Accra and take a look around and then either set up camp or head down the beach to Carib Beach Bar. I look forward to the day there! Thanks so much!
