bridedoll1026 Posted March 31, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2008 I'd appreciate any comments about debarkation in Barcelona. The ship is expected in port at 6AM. How far away is the airport? How organized is debarkation? Is self debarkation recommended?
GMoney Posted March 31, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2008 I debarked Brilliance in BCN twice last year. It's surprisingly easy. The process basically works like any Caribbean cruise, and includes self debarkation, priority and color-coded. I did self-debark and walked off just before 7am. You go not go thru customs or immigration - that happens at the airport. Porters are available and helpful. Taxis are available, but can go quickly when things are at their peak, especially with multiple ships in port. I paid about 25 Euro for the approx 30 min ride to the airport. I think there's a charge if you have a certain number of bags. The ride to the airport is easy and straightforward on main highways. If traveling on a weekday morning, you may hit some rush hour traffic, so plan accordingly.
