Firefighterhoop Posted April 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2008 Is it just a pool for adults? Or what seperates it from a regular swimming pool? I have read that it is free on the larger celebrity ships, but everyone is making it sound great, and just wondering, Why is it so great:D
texkan Posted April 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2008 It is on the same deck as the outdoor pool. It is housed inside with a glass roof. It is not a swimming pool. It is free and is open to adults on the M-class ships. This is a quiet area to relax or sit in the warm waters of the T-Pool. One of my favorite spots on the ship. Some photos of this area are posted on Cruise Critic Board. Could someone please advise where to look?

diboja Posted April 21, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2008 Go to this link to see a picture of the T pool and a brief write-up http://www.sealetter.com/Feb-02/celsum.html and a pic here on the Constellation http://picasaweb.google.com/jayclowejr/CruiseAboardConstellationMarch2007/photo#5084316288887879842
Islandbuoy Posted April 21, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2008 It was so nice that 2 rather plump ladies got in a row over who was entitled to the position in the T-Pool.
JanineM Posted April 21, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 21, 2008 The thallosotherapy pool is a heated, chlorinated and salted pool. It has giant faucets. It's much larger than a hot tub, and not as hot. Because of the salination, it's very easy to float in the pool. If you get in there when the seas are rocky, you can just float back & forth as though you're in a wave pool. Fun! There is a glass ceiling above the pool, so if you float around you can look up at the sky, or into the blackness at night. We really like going up there in the evening (it's open til 11) as it's often almost empty.
rebeccalouise Posted April 22, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 22, 2008 it is nice there is a constant current and it is heated. The are some places in the pool where you can just sit and relax.
sarplum Posted April 22, 2008 #8 Share Posted April 22, 2008 It is just great. I resisted mightly when my wife suggested we go. The net result? She couldn't get me to leave. Just an amazing experience.
micmacmissy Posted April 23, 2008 #9 Share Posted April 23, 2008 There are fantastic built in chaise lounges in the t-pool that bubble from underneath, so you can just lay there. That was our favorite part, for sure. One thing no one has mentioned: the combination of the salt, minerals, and chlorine will fade your bathing suit if you spend more than 10 minutes in there. As others have said, you will definitely want to stay in longer than that! It will also completely dry out your hair...so put it up. Bring an old bathing suit just for the t-pool....you will LOVE it! SoCalGal Posted April 23, 2008 #10 Share Posted April 23, 2008 It is an indoor, warm and relaxing pool for adults over eighteen, although you will see the occasional child when it's not crowded. The best part of it is the Spa Cafe where you can have delicious healthy food and tasty light desserts. We spent lots of time there on our Summit cruises to Alaska. Doubt if we would use it much in warm weather climates however.
