Internet Usage - Going Rate?

Anyone know how much princess is charging per minute to use their internet on board these days?

Just off the CB. $3.95 service charge to start and then .75 a minute. Prices were the same to use your own laptop or the ship's computers. The cheapest package was 100 minutes for $55.00.

You can sign-up (one time fee of $3.95) for the internet and get package minutes or go on a per minute basis. The packages are:

 

100 minutes for $55

150 minutes for $75

250 minutes for $100

 

 

The per minute rate is $0.75.

 

The $3.95 setup fee is for setting up to use the internet whether it is WiFi or the desktop computers on the ship. The packages and per minute pricing apply to both using the Internet Café computers or your own notebook computer with WiFi.

 

Check the Platter the first day for any Internet Café specials. Usually if you sign up for one of the packages on the first day there is a special where you can receive up to an additional 30 minutes free.

 

Remember the internet is VERY SLOW on ships. It is best to download your email, log-off read your email and write new emails to send, then go back online to send teh mew emails. If you must use a web based email then use copy and paste to save time while online. Each Platinum Member will receive a credit towards the purchase of a package in our Internet Cafés.

$75 for voyages of 7 days or less (equivalent to 150 minute package)

$100 for voyages of 8-20 days (equivalent to 250 minute package)

$200 for voyages of 21 or more days (equivalent to two 250 minute packages)

You can use your credit towards a larger package if necessary, or enjoy all those minutes - compliments of the Princess Captain's Circle!

Just got off the Grand .... there are three plans ... least expensive was $100 for 240 minutes.

This is not true on the Star. Price is 75 cents per minute with no mention of set up fee. WiFi for your own laptop is 50 cents per minute.

 

I am reading this info off the card in the Internet Cafe as I type.
