Have you been on any great Nassau excursions?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering whether to book an excursion through RCCL or go to a beach on our own. Any advice or experiences would be appreciated! icon_cool.gif

We did a half day snorkel with www.stuartcove.com and LOVED it. If you are really into adventure...they do a third snorkel stop that is with the sharks. It was an awesome experience.

We have been to Nassau 3 time and the first 2 we just did our own thing and was unimpressed. The last time in Nov last year there was a bunch of people from the Division of Tourism

and they took us on a great tour. We paid 30.00$ pp(at the end of the tour), they took us to Pirates and Dungeons,I think that's what it's called, Paradise Island and a couple other places. It was fantastic. We were gone for about 4 hours and it was worth every penny!Just make sure you go with the Division of Tourism, they all have ID badges and they will be at the end of the dock in Nassau. Hope you have a great time regardless!!

If you have a full day in Nassau and the weather is nice, I would recommend taking a cab to Club Med Paradise Island and buying a day pass for the price of a ships excursion. You have use of all their facilities including sailboats, golf, tennis etc. and an excellent buffet lunch including beer, wine & soda.

Been to Nassau twice with RCI. First time, we went on the Thriller power boat tour. If you do this tour, dont sit in the back row because you will get drenched. The tour will take you around parts of Nassau that you can only see from the water. The tour didnt last very long which still gives you time to go off on your own. The second time in Nassau I did the Catamaran Sail and Snorkel. Went to one or two places to snorkel. The snorkeling was good plus then had time to go off and explore afterwards. Both of the excursions were through the cruise line..

I've been to Nassau three times now. I've done a couple "city tours" and one catamaran snorkle tour. I've been to Atlantis a couple of times. But my favorite tour so far was the "Historic harbor lights champagne sailaway". Everything looked so different in the harbor by nightlights. It was awesome.

We just got back saturday. We did the Rainbow Reef snorkelling offered through SeaTrek (they have a shop on the 11th deck on Navigator). We had a GREAT time. Our only complaint it was too short. It was 2 hours, with 1 hour of actual snokel time. My 10 year old son said it was the fastest hour of his life. The snokelling was awesome though. Saw many many more fish than we did in Hawaii.
