transfer from airport to ship

I was wondering if when you have a transfer, does the cruiseline collect your luggage from the turnstyle at the airport, or do you retrieve it yourself, and then go to the buses. Any info would be helpful...

Since 9/11, you have to claim it yourself.

Hire a porter!! Customary tip is $1.00 per bag. But worth it to not have to lug those heavy things. Wouldn't want to hurt your back

Do not bother with the transfer, we got to the pier almost an hour earlier than the ones who used it. We got a porter and then got a cab, so much faster and cheaper!
